Sponsorship Overview

During the past 15 years, CEL has been very successful in attracting research funding in the form of grants and contracts from a variety of sources. These funds have provided the resources required to fund graduate students and to maintain a productive research program. Overall, these significant financial investments are a testimony to the strength and value of the CEL research program.

The following data provide a summary of the research funding obtained so far:

  • 73 proposals written (17 with collaborators)
  • 81% success rate
  • Total funds to date = $3,486,000
  • Ratio of external funding to NSERC Operating Research Grant funding = 3.1

As shown in the charts below, CEL's research program is recognized and valued by government and research institutes as well as industry. In addition, CEL's research program has been successful in attracting investment in Canada and throughout the world.
